Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information BasePlate (“BasePlate,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects when you use our website and services, why we collect it, and how it’s handled. By using BasePlate, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

BasePlate lets you sign in with your Discord or Roblox account. When you do, the provider you choose shares certain profile information with us, which we store to operate your account:

  • Your Discord ID and/or Roblox ID (a unique account identifier).
  • Your username and display name.
  • Your email address, if the provider makes one available.
  • Your avatar/profile picture URL.

We do not receive or store your Discord or Roblox password. Authentication is handled entirely through each provider’s official OAuth login — BasePlate never sees your credentials.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

  • Create and maintain your BasePlate account.
  • Recognize you when you sign back in.
  • Display your profile and any content you choose to publish.
  • Operate and improve the service, and troubleshoot issues.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

BasePlate is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation, Discord Inc., or any other third-party platform. Signing in through those platforms is subject to their own privacy policies in addition to this one.

We rely on infrastructure providers to run BasePlate, including Supabase (database storage) and Vercel (hosting). These providers process data on our behalf and only to the extent necessary to operate the service. If BasePlate introduces paid subscriptions, payment details will be handled directly by a third-party payment processor — BasePlate does not store your card information.

4. Cookies and Sessions

BasePlate uses a session cookie to keep you signed in after you authenticate. This cookie is required for the login system to function and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored in a Supabase database and is only accessible through secured, server-side access — it cannot be read or written directly from a browser. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You can stop using BasePlate at any time. To request that we delete your account and associated data, contact us using the information on the BasePlate website and we will remove your data within a reasonable time, except where we’re required to retain it by law.

7. Children's Privacy

BasePlate is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of BasePlate after an updated policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

9. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please contact us using the contact information provided on the BasePlate website.
